Oh, happy (random) day!
*WHY for the love of all that is holy is Charlie Sheen news? I'm over it. You know he's going to die this year. Let's talk about it then. Or not.
*Ditto Lindsey Lohan.
*YAY for Colin Firth and The King's Speech on winning their Oscars! If you haven't seen it yet, you MUST see this movie. It is amazing and Colin Firth totally deserved his Oscar (plus, hello, he was Mr. Darcy!).
*I didn't actually get to see the Oscars because it didn't start until like 3am here. Sadness. Anne Hathaway looked amazing in all the stills and clips I saw though.
*It is March!!! The most glorious month of the year! WHY? Because it is the month I came into the world! Hello! Yes, I do in fact claim the entire month. I should be worshiped and feted all month long. Let it commence.
*Han Solo needs to stay in until at least April 1 because I do not want to share my month!
*Speaking of Han Solo, I had an OB appt yesterday (32 weeks!!!) and he's doing great. He's head down (though from the beating he's been giving my ribs, I knew that), which is good. He's very, very active (again, I knew this!) and his little heart is beating perfectly. I've gained about 8 pounds since Sept.
*I feel weird calling Han Solo by his real name. Everyone else does, but I just call him "the baby." I don't know why. I was the same way when I was pregnant with Indy. For some reason, to me it won't really be his name until he's born. Is that weird?
*James Bond picked Han Solo's real name. JB is a HUGE Beatles fan and Han Solo's real name has "something" to do with the Beatles. No, it's not Jude (though he threw that out there). He then wanted to go with Lennon, which I think is a cool name, but was afraid people would confuse it with Lenin and think we had communist leanings. :) Again, I vetoed it. He finally suggested a name that I liked. I got to pick the middle name. We figured this is fair since I picked Indy's first name and JB picked his middle name. I do hold ultimate veto power though because I have the uterus.
*I guess I could have called Han Solo, Beatle on my blog, but that just didn't work for me. Plus, I don't think he had a real name when he was christened Han Solo (by Indy).
*Two weeks ago we went to the Rhein Gallerie (a big mall that is very much like an American mall!) and found a tiny little Beatles shirt (size 2 months). James Bond freaked out and HAD to get it for Han Solo. On the way home, we (by coincidence) heard Penny Lane on the radio. I laughed and (jokingly) said it was too bad Han Solo wasn't a girl because we could have named her Penny Lane. JB's mouth dropped open and he went on and on about what a perfect name that would be for a girl and he would totally call her by her full name when he said it. Actually, he said he would sing it in all the different ways they do in the song. I tried to explain that a) I was joking and b) there would be no girls because I wasn't going to get pregnant ever again, but he went on all afternoon about how much he'd love to have a girl named Penny Lane. Sigh.
*What is a "fish and finger pie?" Anyone know?
*I used my Christmas money (yay for Christmas money!) to buy an airbrush make up system. I.Am.In.Love. I bought the Dinair system (it was pricey), and I've gotten so many compliments on how great my skin looks since I started using it. Everyone thinks it's because I'm pregnant, but that's not true. It's because I'm airbrushed. Like the movie stars and girls in magazines. It doesn't take any time at all and lasts forever.
* Guess I'll have to find a new cemetery to walk my elephant/camel/leashless dog through.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with...the perfect pair of shoes.

ROFL!!
Sad that they have to post signs NOT to walk your elephant/camel in the cemetary...
WTF are you?
Happy RTT!
The Oscars were super boring this year, but Anne Hathaway did look pretty. :) An airbrush makeup system sounds awesome!
Happiest of birth months! I think I'll go eat a piece of cake in your honor.
That sign is HILARIOUS.
I agree... birthday celebrations should totally last the entire month. When it's your own, that is.
We are crazy Beatles fans here at the Gunn manor. My daughters apartment is decorated in Beatles.
Can't wait to hear the name.
WOW We need to hear more about this airbrush makeup set!!! I'm going to research it myself now but want to hear all about yours!
www.shoplovesparks.blogspot.com no its not a shopping blog.
I have traveled far and wide to worship you in this month of March, the month of your glorious birth. *genuflects*
Happy birthday to another fellow March baby! I hope you have a wonderful birthday month and thanks for your sweet comment on my post. That sign cracks me up! I don't remember seeing camels and elephants walking around loose in Germany!! Maybe I didn't visit the right cemetary.
xo,
Sherry
