No, not houses. I get enough of that. I'm thinking about moving from blogspot to wordpress. Wordpress offers a lot more features than blogspot, but I also find their dashboard terribly intimidating. And I worry, will I lose my readers? I love you guys and would be sad if you weren't around to read all my witticisms (that's totally sarcastic, BTW) and how awesome I am (again with the sarcasm). I've actually already got a site over there, but there's nothing really on it yet. I know how to transfer this blog over, but it scares the beejeebers out of me. What to do? What to do? If I do make the big move, I'll be sure to let you know. There will be trumpets with fanfare and confetti. Maybe ever some cake and cookies. Oh, and brownies! Can't have a celebration without brownies!
The journey of a thousand miles begins with...the perfect pair of shoes.

That's something I've been considering too. The wordpress seems to have so much more and is more professional. The only thing I'd be bothered about is having to pay extra to be able to code my own layout.
Decisions decisions...
Oooo if you say it's more pro' i may give it a look too.. i thought blogger was simpler and .. as I'm no computer master.. i said to give it a try at first.. but if I'll ever figure out how to move my butt around Wordpress.. who knows.. i may even cheat blogger just a tad every once in a while.
As for your decision.. whatevah you do just let us know so we can stick around!
Happy Sunday!
I've thought about it before but their system seems so confusing to use.
A friend of mine moved over and I still follow her. The updates don't show up on my dashboard, but it changes on my blog list.
I'll still follow! (hmm, double l's in all those words...weird)
I love WordPress. I have blogs on both it and Blogger and Blogger drives me NUTS. Of course, that could be because I started with WP, so that's what seems easiest to me. I love that WP comes with its own stats that are a hundred times easier for me to read than Google Analytics or whatever.
It's also a lot easier to upload photos. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but Blogger always uploads them at the top of the post instead of where I want them to go. Grrr.
I worried about losing readers when I switched to my own domain a year ago. There's a dip in your stats for about a month until people catch up, but they eventually do.
Good luck!! :-)
Hey, I'm a computer programmer and I'm freaked out by you moving. Or me moving. But hey, you should ask around, some people have done it fine. I sort of imagine there's a big *bang* and you end up with no blog, no followers and then some twat registers your blogger address and gets all your friends...
...but I'm sure if you ask someone who has done it you'll be fine!
