Normally I like to decorate for the seasons. I get great joy out of changing the apothecary jars, the front door decor and all that other jazz. Last year, I did some cute Valentine's Decor, but this year I'm just not feeling it. I have tons of stuff down in the basement just waiting for me to drag it out and pink up the house, but for some reason it's just not appealing to me this year. What is wrong with me?????
Plus, I've lost 5 followers in the last 3 days. In the grand scheme of things, I know it's not a big deal (in fact, Rue just did a fantastic post about this), but it makes me sad. I'm seriously not feeling the love.
Blah.

If it makes you feel any better, I only have 8 followers... and two are my mother, because she messed up and created two accounts :)
I've never been a big holiday decorator myself, but skipping one is fine. If it's not going to make *you* happy, then what's the point?
Sorry you lost some followers. But really, it's their loss, not yours.
Maybe you're just having an off week. See how you feel about decorating in a week or so. If you're not doing it b/c it makes YOU or your family happy, then don't bother this year. :)
Followers are so fickle. I've lost my fair share. I never know why. It's not like I change up what I write about all that often. And 95% of them never comment anyways. Meh.
You need to check out my party today. ;) It was HARD for me to sit down and come up with my own "5 Reasons" (I am soooo not trained to "compliment" myself), but I felt soooo much better afterwards for thinking positively about myself for once. :)
Don't read too much into either of these issues. Sometimes a girl just doesn't feel like decorating. In some ways it simplifies the holiday and let's you focus on the real beauty of it all.
As for followers, people have a myriad of reasons for following and leaving. It may or may not have anything to do with you or your content. Look at the bright side, you still have way more than a hundred people who enjoy hearing what you have to say.
Hope you're feeling the love again soon.
Sometimes people quit blogging, and when they delete their accounts you lose them. Don't sweat it.
Thank you for the mention :)
I was told that it's spammers that come and go. Don't worry about it too much!
