This week we got to do something realy exciting. We went to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, subject of the Animal Planet special "The Little Zoo That Could" and had a tiger encounter. For a $75 fee (all of which goes to help feed and care for the tigers) C and I got to spend 30 minutes with a baby Bengal Tiger. It was so much fun! Our baby's name was Sheena. She was 10 pounds and I think 8 weeks old. Isn't she adorable?
Here she is with C.Doesn't it look like she's smiling?Playing:
Bengal tigers live approximately 15-18 years and can consume up to 88 lbs of meat in one feeding. TaThere are less than 3000 Bengal Tigers in the wild. This zoo is on a mission to make sure they do not die out completely, even if they only ever live in captivity.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with...the perfect pair of shoes.
