RTT, no time for chit chat!

RTT! No time for chit chat. Let's just go!

*Snow! OMG! What is with all the snow????

*Our local youth services has 16 gymnastics classes for girls. They have 2 classes for boys and we've been on the waiting list for 15 months! I'm calling discrimination!

*I love it when grocery stores cut up cakes that didn't sell whole and just sell big fat slices. I can't justify buying a whole cake, but I can sure buy a big slice. And share it with Indy (only because he's with me all day).

*Is it wrong that I'm enjoying reading The 39 Clues books almost as much as Indy? *Damn groundhog!

*Pocket Indy's blog has been updated. Did you know? Go check it out. Later.

*Ever get in the mood to just throw out everything in your house and start over? I've got it. Maybe it's just the winter blahs.

*I am ridiculously excited over the A-Team movie coming out in June. Is that weird? I used to love the A-Team when I was a kid. Things blowing up and BA being all freaked out about flying and Face being all "Face-y" and Murdoc just being crazy. Man I love it when a plan comes together. Also,
it has Liam Neeson in it (the movie I mean). Delicious.

*Indy and I (and Pocket Indy) went on a 2 hour snow walk on Sunday. We were exhausted by the time we made it home. Indy went to bed at 7:30pm and I went at 8:30pm because I couldn't keep my eyes open. Walking through snow is
hard.

*Mr. HH has decided he needs to go on a diet. This sucks for me.

*Over 2500 left handed people a year are killed from using products made for right handed people. I wonder how. And what are they doing?

*Mr. HH is left handed. Think I should be worried?

*Elephants can't jump.

*Our funny sign of the week:

That is so random. And I am left handed and can use right-handed objects totally fine. Maybe what they meant was "Left-handed people who lack common sense..."

really? I'm left handed and never felt like I had trouble with any right handed things... except measuring rules... they suck, I have a left handed one because I was sick of counting backwards.

I was thinking about enrolling mikey in the toddler gymnastics, but can't be bothered to deal with CYS. I'd think the toddler one would be mixed though. It totally is discrimination, if he's been on the waiting list that long it means there must be other boys who want to do it too!

Oh, no!! Now you have to cook healthy stuff all the time?! ;) (seriously, that IS hard to do) I guess you'll have to buy the cake slices and hide them. ;)

Have you ever heard of Shoe Dazzle? My sister does it and loves it!

Anyways, just thought I would say hello after having a chuckle reading your post!

Ok, I posted once before, visiting again (maybe I should become your follower to make up for one of those three lost souls). Anyways, regarding CYS classes. It is not about boys only, there are not enough spaces for any activity. I was told to get my daughter into Mom, Pop and Tot gymnastics class (the least demand) to show up before CYS opens on the first day of sign up. I came there at 8 when the doors opened. The lane went down the street! There were mothers waiting since 5 in the morning! With lawn chairs, in rain gear and with umbrellas as it was raining dogs and cats! I can see they offer less spaces in gymnastics for boys and girls (once they separate them at, what 6 or 7?) and it makes sense because at that age most boys chose football, soccer, basketball, baseball so it is about proportion (if three times more girls takes gymnastics they should offer three girls classes versus one boys class) but I agree that demand is higher. Basically what I am saying is that it is not gender issue... it is just that CYS is not fulfilling the demand. On the other note, suggestion... you could try Mannheim CYS. Again, at that later age group you will most likely need to be one of the mothers geared up with lawn chairs up at 5 am to get your place in line for the class. Also, I know for later ages there is preference so that kids who took previous class have a first choice for the following session (this does not go for toddlers).
