5 Reasons My Blog Rocks

After my little pity party yesterday, I got a comment from Amanda over at Serenity Now telling me that I need to join her Why My Blog Rocks party. And she's right, I do. I'm going to toot my own horn and make myself feel better.

1-I live in freaking Europe! I take my readers to castles, museums, old cities, grocery stores, bakeries, and shoe shopping all over Europe. How cool is that? Plus, I do with wit and charm. Just calling it like I see it. Oh, and IKEA! IKEA! Everyone in blogland knows how much I loves me some IKEA. I talk about it all the time and often get some good ideas that I share. IKEA in America looks exactly the ones in the States with the silly names for products (Gorm? Sultan Hagavik? Ektorp? Tullsta?),but everything else is in German. Very confusing. But still FAB-U-LOUS. That alone should bring peeps to my blog. And maybe some sponsorship from IKEA, or at least a 1000 Euro gift card. ;)

2-Um...shoes? Hello? Have you seen my shoes? Yes, I'm sure you have. They're freaking fantastic, aren't they? Yes, they are. I could do a post every day on my shoes, but you know I don't want to get put into a niche.

3-Pocket Indy! Who doesn't love Pocket Indy? Nobody! He was so popular and got so many fan emails asking for more that he got his own blog. Plus, PI gives you interesting tidbits about the places he goes. We can all stand to learn a little something, can't we?

4-Dear So and So, and Random Thoughts Tuesday! They are my 2 favorite days of the week! Dear So and So is great for letting off steam at all the idiots people that have irritated me through the week. And RTT? Fantastic! It's such a relief to get out all the weird little thoughts that pop into my head. Very amusing and very random.

5-My deep and abiding love for Johnny Depp and Edward Cullen/RPattz. Don't worry Johnny, you'll always be number one with me. Edward, if you're reading this, call me. Oh sure, other pretty boys have come along throughout the years, but my love for Johnny has held strong since his days as the spunky, yet troubled, baby-faced Officer Hanson on 21 Jump Street. We've had our ups and downs (like when he kept hooking up with all those Hollywood bimbos and then went and had babies with that French chic) oh and I may have gone and gotten married (Mr. HH knows he drops if Johnny ever comes to the door), but we've always been there for each other. He knows my deep and abiding love for him and he shows me all the time how much he's thinking of me. No, I'm not delusional, thankyouverymuch. Serisouly, Edward, call me. Any time. I love you Johnny!

Wow, I'm pretty freaking fantastic, aren't I? I don't know why anyone would stop following me and why I don't have thousands of followers. I'm awesome. And incredibly humble.

Okay, okay, ego aside, I want to thank Amanda for hosting this and all my readers, followers and commentors. I really appreciate you all. My silly little humble blog is a year and a half old and thanks to it I've made some wonderful friends, several of whom I've actually met IRL. I hope after reading this, you too will go toot your own horn and tell the whole blogisphere how awesome you are and what makes your blog rock.

As for the IKEA giftcard....here in Germany we have something called "IKEA family". If you sign up (which is free) then you enter into a gift card drawing each time you shop at IKEA and present your family card at the checkout.
Plus, if your family card is scanned during the checkout your goods are automatically insured on your way home. (from the store to your house, not back to the States I mean)I think this is pretty neat even though I didn't need it yet.
Plus, your son will get a little something for his birthday if you put him on your card. I don't know what it is because I don't have kids on my own. :)
And certain items are cheaper for family members.
Oh and the best: You get FREE coffee at the restaurant there.(one person only though)

And no, I do NOT work for IKEA. :)

And don't worry about your followers, I am sure the number will go up again. :)

I think that your blog is awesome!

I have been having so much trouble keeping up with everyone lately, I am so hit and miss! If you see that I am not around for periods of time, stop by and leave a comment, I pretty much try to always reciprocate!
